The delightfully demented Mistress Saskia led me to Occasional Hell’s Infernal Device, an incredible site cataloging a variety of historical torture devices. I’m particularly enraptured by the Iron Gag (aka Mute’s Bridle), Heretic’s Fork, and Chain Whip, to name a few. I may need to talk with MetalBound. Sigh.
